Social Scientists
 (anthropology, sociology, political science, economics, development policy) wishing to design and present a session should submit a proposal via email to the organizing committee: info@isdehs.com

The deadline  for submitting a session for social scientists
 is August 31 , 2006.

You will receive notification whether your session has been accepted or denied  within a few days of your submission.

All convenors selected to participate will receive free registration to ISDEHS 2006 as well as gaining a two year free individual membership in NDRD.

Due to extremely limited funding    presenters are responsible for covering travel, lodging & the registration costs for the optional field trip. However we are working on trying to receive additional funding and therefore may be able to support our session convenors at least a little.

By submitting a proposal, the applicant agrees to serve as the session designer and is responsible for developing the session. Once selected, the convenor is responsible for promoting the proposed session and recruiting participants as well as providing all required information to ISDEHS.

The following information should be included in your proposal:    

• title of the proposed thematic social science session
   
• name of convenor(s), contact information
   
• a short session summary (abstract) for use in online & print program
   
• Optional:  Please provide a short bio to be listed on the website for us (background/qualifications)
