Wind erosion is an important issue in the Southeast of Iran. It causes many problems for the habitants of the region; notable among them are infrastructure distortion and outbreak of diseases. Some attempts have been made to decrease its harmful effects. This study compared wind erosion control with and without rural cooperation in the Southeast of Iran. The result indicates that wind erosion could be controlled more effectively with rural cooperation. The most important management implication of the study is that rural cooperation is a precondition for success of development programs in the region.
